SEMPU ISLAND, HIDDEN PARADISE IN EAST JAVA

Info 

Sempu Island, is a small island which lies south of Java. The island is located in the district of Malang, East Java. Currently Sempu nature reserve is an area protected by the government. Geographically, Sempu Island lies between 112 ° 40 '45 "- 112 ° 42' 45" east longitude and 8 ° 27 '24 "- 8 ° 24' 54" south latitude. The island has an area of ​​about 877 hectares, bordering the Strait Sempu (Spring Blue) and surrounded the Indian Ocean on the south side, East and West. 1.       1. Juanda Airport ( Surabaya city) – Bungurasih / Purabaya Terminal (Surabaya city)

The journey starts from Juanda Airport (Surabaya, East Java Province) we took the bus shelter Juanda - purabaya off at the terminal Purabaya, travel time approximately 30 minutes, ticket price 15000 rupiah.

2.       2. Bungurasih / Purabaya Terminal (Surabaya City) – Arjosari Arjosari (Malang Town)

From the terminal Purabaya, we took the bus majors Surabaya - poor, get off at the terminal Arjosari. about 2 hours travel time, ticket prices 8000 rupiah.

3.      3. Malang Town  – Gadang Terminal

b.      Gadang Terminal – Turen – Pantai Sendang Biru

If we do not find transportation to Sendang Biru Beach. From the terminal gadang, we took the bus department to Turen, a decrease in the market Turen. Ticket prices 4000 rupiah, travel time 30 minutes. From the market we took the Public transportation Turen (isuzu elf) to the Sendang Biru beach. Ticket price 12 000 rupiah, travel time 90 minutes.

5. Sendang Biru Beach – Sempu Island 

From Sendang Biru Beach toward the island Sempu, we have to ride the boat. Ticket price 100 000 rupiah (can be ride 10 people), travel time 10 minutes, crossing the last 04: 30 pm.

Accomodation

There are two options for accommodations:

1. Stay at Sendang Biru Beach

some houses or places Sempu Island manager has rented a place that can make the inn. The cost of staying overnight is about 100000 rupiah

2. Stay at Sempu Island

If we want to stay on the island of Sempu, of course you have to prepare equipment such as tents, sleeping bags, stoves, mattresses and lighting equipment. Food and Beverages

Ticket Price

To get to the island Sempu administration fee (admission fee) for groups of 60000 rupiah (Negotiations) in addition you can also hire the services of Police of Forest (POLHUT) amounting to 100000 rupiah . POLHUT this could be our tour guide as well as guides on the island Sempu..

Tips

1.Dry season between July and September is a good time to get there. Because if the rainy season, the terrain is very difficult, muddy.

2.Carry necessary items such as clothes, personalized medicine, food and drinking water.

3.Bring Sunblock to avoid the heat of the sun

4.Bring tent, sleeping bag, lamp, stove, and anti-mosquito lotion if you want to spend the night.

5.Bring Trash Bag for bringing back the rubbish that you take it for making instant noodles or a bottle that you drink.

6.More recommended wearing shoes or sandals mountain.

Balekambang Beach, Tanah Lot in East Java

Balekambang, is a tourist place of the Indian Ocean coastal beaches are located approximately 30 kilometers south of the town Kepanjen, or 45 kilometers south of Malang. Balekambang is one of the attractions the coast in poor districts that already have road access, other than Ngliyep beaches and coastal fishing village once a blue spring. Balekambang has a coastline of nearly 2 kilometers, and consists of sand, which is white and light brown.
Like the south coast of Java island beaches, Balekambang have a swift ocean currents and waves large enough, the lack of public facilities, including access roads are paved, but broken in several places, the lack of electricity and clean water, makes this beach so do not get much visits regularly.
Balekambang get quite a lot when visiting the school holidays and celebrations or days of the Hindu religion, because here lies a temple situated on a small rock island, about 100 meters from the beach.

 Access And Orientation

From bantur we ride motorcycles at a price of 40000 rupiah to 50000 rupiah to the beach Balekambang.

In some areas there is a beach, simple resort Balekambang with the price ± 100000 rupiah.

Timezones

Office Hours

Banking Hours

SOCIAL/CULTURAL VISIT VISA
1 This visa is issued by the Indonesian Embassy to applicants who are going to Indonesia for a social/cultural visit, such as visiting relatives/friends; social organizations; exchange visits between educational institutions; undertaking research and attending training programme in Indonesia.
2 Type of entry : Single Entry
Maximum length of stay is 60 days.
Extensions can be applied for and obtained in Indonesia from the Immigration Authorities.
3 Approval from the Immigration Office in Indonesia is needed for applicants who wish to stay longer than 60 days which must be applied for by the applicant’s sponsor/relative/friends who reside/base in Indonesia. Visa will only be issued by the Embassy after receiving the authorization direct from the Immigration office in Indonesia.
4 A person granted a student, research or training visa is not permitted to take up employment, and may not remain in Indonesia for any purpose other than that for which the visa was granted.
5 Multiple entries need special permit from the Immigration Office in Indonesia.
6 Validity of visa will be three months from the date of issue.
7 To return the passport by post, a Self Addressed Special delivery Envelope should be provided.
8 Visa is issued within five to six working days from receipt of application provided all documents are in order.
Required documents which should be submitted are as follows:
1 Passport (with a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of entry into Indonesia)
2 One completed visa application form
3 One coloured passport size photograph.

How long is the visa valid for?
The maximum stay for visitors is normally 60 days, except for the Visa on Arrival which has a maximum stay of 30 days and also certain type of visas given based on approval from the Immigration Authority in Indonesia.

Transit visa
1 Required by all nationals.
2 This visa is given to persons continuing their journey to another country within a reasonable time provided they hold valid and confirmed tickets / documents to travel to their next destination.
3 A transit visa is also required by persons joining or working on a transport vehicle that will continue its journey outside Indonesian territory. Applicants in this category must have proof of a work contract pertaining to that effect.
4 Validity of visa will be three months from the date of issue and the maximum length of stay is 7 (seven) days from the date of arrival in Indonesia.

Working permit in Indonesia
Employing of a foreign operational director, manager, technician, expert and even specialized workers by a company in Indonesia is allowed, as long as there is no Indonesian available who is qualified to fill the position or job. The Department of Labor in Indonesia issues regulations on this matter in the form of a list of professional positions in every business sector that are open for the employment of expatriates.
An expatriates wishing to take up employment in Indonesia, need to obtain a working permit. Usually, the Working Permit will be taken care of by the employer.

Airport Tax
An airport tax of Rp150,000 is levied by airports on departing passengers on international flights and Rp.25,000 for those on domestic routes.

TippingMost hotels add a 10% service charge to the bill on top of the 10% tax. In restaurants where service charge is not added, a tip of 5 to 10% on the bill will be appropriate depending on the service and type of establishment.

Customs
Maximum items allowed by customs when you visit Indonesia:

• 1 liter of alcoholic beverages
• 200 cigarettes OR 50 cigars OR 100 grams of tobacco
• Reasonable amount of perfume per adult, meaning if you arrive drenched in perfume the customs probably will not mind you carrying loads of bottles.
